After years of discussions, planning, and finding funding, several projects are finally underway in downtown Jacksonville.

Driving in downtown Jacksonville will become easier as the city is reintroducing two-way travel to the area, beginning with Forsyth and Adams streets.

Jacksonville's downtown is being transformed with major developments, including Riverfront Plaza, promoted through the "I Dig Jax" campaign.

Tina Sauvage launched Jax Tours — a historic downtown Jacksonville walking tour and food tasting at the end of March in 2024. As of February 2025, the founder is already ready to expand.
