Amazon will pay nearly $4 million to settle charges it took tips from delivery drivers, misleading customers about how tips were used, following a 2022 lawsuit by DC's attorney general.

It's no coincidence that these three retailers run massive deal days within weeks of one another, as with Amazon Prime Days and Target Circle Week. All three also now offer some of the fastest online shipping speeds available.

The Seattle-based e-commerce and technology company said its revenue for the October-December period totaled $187.8 billion, a 10% jump compared to the same period in 2023. Profits came out to $20 billion while earnings per share reached $1.86, higher than the $1.49 that analysts surveyed by FactSet had anticipated.

Amazon was that last of the four major hyperscalers to publish December-quarter earnings and 2025 spending plans.
