The Red Sox have swung their first move of the offseason, signing 37-year-old relief pitcher Justin Wilson after his shaky second stint with the Reds.

While the Red Sox woo free agent Juan Soto and pursue a trade for White Sox ace Garrett Crochet, they were able to make a complementary move on Thursday by agreeing to terms on a one-year, $2.25 million contract with veteran lefty reliever Justin Wilson,

The 37-year-old lefthander was with the Reds this past season after missing all of 2023 because of Tommy John surgery.
