A 69-year-old man was arrested after a search turned up a live grenade and drugs in a residence, the Shasta County Sheriff's Office said on Thursday.
Caltrans has closed I-5 at the Fawndale Exit, about 10 miles north of Redding, and is advising motorists to use alternate routes.
