(THE CENTER SQUARE) – Las Vegas has just experienced its first measurable rain in 214 days. It was only 0.01 inch, but the precipitation Thursday was enough to break the second longest dry spell in the Nevada city’s recorded history. Las Vegas saw a record-setting 240 days of no rain in 2020.

Flooding occurred in some areas across the Las Vegas valley Thursday night following the first signs of measurable rain in months. A road closure along a ramp from I-15 southbound to the Southern 215 Beltway westbound closed down all lanes.

While it might seem like an illusion, simply because the sweet soda tastes even better with the salty food of the fast food joint, there are actually reasons why McDonald's Coke tastes better than the Coke anywhere else.
