Aug 3, 2013 · I had the same problem with my Bose Soundlink Bluetooth Speaker. I was unable to pair a new iPhone after having owned the speaker for two years. I tried to update the firmware, which didn't work. This was explained in an earlier post by GoKce. In short, since no firmware update was needed, the downloaded Bose software didn't recognize the speaker.

Mar 26, 2015 · If the connection is not used for a while (you pause playback for a few minutes, itunes loses the connection and will no longer connect. The only way to reconnect is to turn the Bose on and off. With mine Bose, the easiest way is to remove the battery. When the Bose restarts it will connect with itunes using airplay.
