Nora Sandigo, also known as “La Gran Madre”, aka “the great mother” has personally accepted guardianship for over 1,200 children. She is a wife and mother that has dedicated her life to helping children that have lost their parents due to deportation.

With limited funds, but endless determination, Nora founded American Fraternity in 1989, presently known as the Nora Sandigo Children Foundation. NSCF helps immigrants integrate and adjust to American society, culture and legal processes.

The Nora Sandigo Children Foundation (NSCF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Miami, FL, dedicated to supporting immigrant children and families. Founded in 1989 during the Nicaraguan Revolution, NSCF was initially created to address the needs of the Nicaraguan immigrant community.

At the Nora Sandigo Children Foundation (NSCF), we are dedicated to supporting immigrant families by providing programs and services that promote stability, education, and well-being. Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of children and families navigating the challenges of immigration and family separation.
