The first Cool Schools Plunge took place in 2011 and our Plungers raised $239,000. S ince then, students and teachers have raised over $4 million dollars. The 2024 Plunge raised a record-setting $915,597 and hosted three Plunge hours. Be a part of the Cool Schools Plunge history!

The first Polar Bear Plunge took place in 1997 and since then, our Plunge has gotten so large it has broken up into 5 different Plunge properties, Super Plunge, Cool Schools Plunge, Police Plunge, Corporate Plunge, with multiple plunges on Maryland Plunge day.

The Corporate Plunge is a great team building experience for companies across Maryland. The money raised at the Polar Bear Plunge goes towards funding Special Olympics Maryland athletes, an organization can really come together and bond over the mission of Special Olympics Maryland, and inclusion.
