Jul 31, 2022 · Museum policies about late arrival vary. The tickets section of the Louvre website may include its late-arrival policy. Assuming the Louvre is still selling tickets on site (I haven't checked), there will be separate lines for those with tickets and those needing to buy tickets. There will also be a security line that everyone must go through.

It takes about 3 hours, if you breeze past tons of artwork . . . going through the Louvre with a purpose takes discipline ☺ This trail takes you past almost all the Louvre's top highlights, though it doesn't actually mention most of them. So you have look around you as you go.

Sep 20, 2018 · The plan is to take the metro to the Palais Royal Musée du Louvre train station and then enter the Louvre via the underground Carrousel entrance. It has been well documented that this line is shorter than the Pyramid entrance. So the million dollar question is this. Should we buy timed tickets on the Louvre website ahead of time?

Oct 7, 2024 · We would go in the morning then go get lunch and spend some time in the Tuilleries and then head back into the Louvre in the afternoon. Now because of the way ticketing works at the Louvre with entries not to the whole museum but to the wings, they enforce the 'one visit' rule by only allowing entry to each wing once.

Jan 28, 2025 · I have said for years, they need to build a whole new area, do it nice, add info on Davinci and other artists of the era, build up to the viewing, maybe even a moving sidewalk as you pass by the Mona Lisa, hey, add a multi media presentation. Make it an experience and charge appropriately, even add in entry to the rest of the Louvre.
